NOLASCO-RODRÍGUEZ, MONTSERRAT

Montserrat Nolasco obtained an MA in English Language and Literature from the University of Santiago de Compostela in June 1998. In October 1998 she was admitted to the PhD Programme in English Linguistics and started working at the Department of English as an FPU researcher of the Spanish Ministry of Education and Science. In June 2001 she defended her MA dissertation and was honored with the Extraordinary Award. As an ERASMUS exchange student Montserrat studied at the University of Birmingham (1996-1997), and in the autumn of 2001 she stayed at the Research Unit for Variation and Change in English of the University of Helsinki. Since September 2002 she has worked as a teacher of English as a Foreign Language at San Juan Bosco School; recently she has also begun work on a PhD dissertation under the supervision of Teresa Fanego and Belén Méndez-Naya.
